I have a lot of love for Rainbeau Curves activewear! When I first started my journey to greater health, they were the first company to come on board and support me by sending along activewear. I can never describe the feeling I felt when I opened that first box. The colors, the pieces! I was STOKED with excitement. At a large 4X, I was so grateful that the pieces fit and supported me and made me feel like I belonged.
When you hear about people starting a new workout regime, people often tell you to invest in workout clothes that make you feel great. It’s already anxiety-inducing enough to do that first workout! Because of Rainbeau Curves, I walked into my first workout feeling confident with how I looked. I will always be grateful for how that helped my confidence!
So let’s break it down. Because Rainbeau Curves is the brand that should be on your lips if you are plus size and looking for workout gear. Check out my full review in the video above!
In this video above, I give you the detailed scoop on this line of figure-friendly, super comfortable activewear.
From sports bras to printed tanks, zip up jackets to leggings, you can (literally) outfit yourself for almost every athletic occasion your body can dream up.
Psst. I give you the full Here’s some feedback for you – I share this in the video in more detail as well. Their sports bras are great for low-impact activity or wearing for athleisurewear. I wear mine around the house all the time. If you are more on the busty side, I wouldn’t wear them alone for a lot of support. Yoga? Yes. Running or working out hard? No. Their printed leggings have more give to them and less compression; I would save those for yoga and lighter activity as well. If you are looking for more “sucking in” you will want to stick to their Curve Basix Compression gear. Quick note- the length of the biker shorts (as pictured above) is the bomb!!
I thought I might share some pics and video from when I began my journey to health with RC at my side!
This is from my first workout, on April 29, 2016!
Ok folks. This is my totally unedited (I did brighten it up so you could see better) body, no makeup and no fancy shapewear. Running some errands and heading to my first workout. I feel like the first day of school when you have shiny new outfits to wear. The tank and leggings you see are from @rainbeaucurves and they are both in a 4X. There is super nice compression and support in both of them. So I feel pretty secure in them. My workout may be sweaty and awful and super hard… but at least I got cute gear to do it in!! Oh yeah. And those are my big arms. With nothing covering them. They gonna fly in the breeze like wings but I don't care! ROFLMAO #greaterat40 #personalgrowth #wellness #fitness
My first time ever doing step ups. I can’t tell you how great I fell accomplishing this goal!!
When I look at this video, there are so many things I can be critical of. I could live in fear and be angry that I allowed my health to get to this point. I could be embarrassed of my jiggly parts and lumps and bumps. Or…. I could look at this and go "F*ck yes, this is a woman who is stronger then she gave herself credit for being!" I'm going to go with the second. Listen y'all. I'm only 15 lbs down. In over two months. But. I dont give a hoot. Because this girl, who three months ago couldn't walk her damn dog without feeling like her back was falling apart and getting winded and sweaty, hauled her 325+ lb ass up and down and up and down over 50 times. And THAT is progress. If you are going to change your lifestyle and focus on your health and fitness never, for one second, think that can come from ANY place but love. There is no fear in this dojo, bitches. Only love let's me look at my arms and say "hell yes those arms aren't perfect but they are mine and love them and everything they allow me to do." Only LOVE can drive this decently private woman to put herself out there for the world to stomp on. Because she BELIEVES in herself. And because she BELIEVES that other women can do exactly what she does if they let go of fear. I've worked in women's plus size fashion for six years. I've been a body positive social media influencer and, when I shared that I wanted to focus on my health… I did get some slack from people who said that my desire to become more fit and drop some weight was actually me turning my back on people. No. Just no. This is how I'm being body positive RIGHT NOW. Because I am positive this body can evolve and change and get stronger. And I am positive that I love this body. As flawed and as big as it is, this body is my home. And I'm going to keep on treating it better. I only have one body, one heart and one lifetime. I'm going to make it count. I really need to send my love and thanks to @blakelosangeles for just… swiping right on Tinder and being the badass support and guide and jedi that he is. #fitness #fitfam #plussizefit #plussizefitness #plussizefitnessjourney #weightlossjourney #workout Head to toe wearing @rainbeaucurves
Or the first time ever that I attempted 18 flights of stairs alternating with battle ropes!
Ok. I’m going to say something here. It is TOTALLY OK to feel great about your body when you are working out! No matter where you are in your journey, celebrate yourself now. As you are. As you step up and SHOW UP for your life. Celebrate your beautiful work-in-progress body. Celebrate your body for moving and allowing you to wake up every day. Celebrate it and find peace with it as it is. And if wearing kickass, colorful and stylish workout gear helps you to feel comfortable, confident and secure? Get it. Do it. Gift yourself. I give you permission!

Who Is This Workout Gear Great For: Varries. Rainbeau curves has something for someone of every activity level. If you are looking for more low-impact gear, they have leggings and sports bras that are perfect for yoga, walking, stretching and light calisthenics. If you want some basic, reliable and moderate priced leggings, they have that too! If you are looking for gear to hit it hard at the gym, lift weights or run the distance? You’ll be well dressed. In short, they’ve got it all.
Favorite Style Not to Miss: Rainbeau Curves excels at prints. Every season they release a few new prints; if there’s one you like, scoop it up. My favorite styles from them are their printed athletic tanks and zip jackets. These take a beating, always look great and have a great, true-to-size fit. They don’t fade, wash well and are great for all-year wear. (Except the jacket, which is better for cooler months.) Also, I highly recommend their Curve Basix Compression Leggings. They have an accessible price point, so get a few pairs at once. There isn’t intense longevity in them – I’d say each pair will last you a season or two – but they do the job well and are super budget-friendly.
