What are my favorite plus size jeans out there? I’m a jeans kind of gal. I could go through life wearing jeans and ballet flats, or with my favorite cowboy boots. Even dressed up with a sky-high heel! When it comes to denim, you have lots of choices out there. These are four pairs of plus size jeans that are in my closet right now. I love them, I wear them, I have paid for them, and I would suggest them to you without any reservation! Here are a few things to remember about my thoughts:
- I’m short. I stand five foot four and have a short rise and torso but longer legs. Where possible, I buy jeans in ankle length or short length to accomodate. A few of the selections below (the Torrid jeans) come in various lengths so if you are taller you can make them work no problem. Otherwise, the jeans that fit me as full-length will probably be more crop for you.
- My body is pretty evenly distrubuted in more of an hourglass shape; I’m not very pear. I do have a booty and thighs but they run about the same size as the rest of me.
- I’m not a fashion blogger who has tried on a zillion types of jeans. There are many brands I have never worn. There are some I have, for exmaple, and they don’t make this list. Intentionally. I have more in my closet than these, but these are the ones I wear again and again.
Premium Jeggings from Torrid
Let’s start with the basics. I have worn Premium Stretch Jeggins from Torrid for the last two years. Maybe longer. I started off wearing them at a size 28 and now, at a size 20, I still love them. They are a totally comfortable, reliable and great pair of jeans. Also, what I LOVE LOVE LOVE about them is that they come in lengths. Extra Short, Short, Regular, and Tall.
At 5 foot 4, I really like an ankle jean; the extra short is perfect for me. I could even do the short and be happy. Here are a few of the washes they come in with shopping links and pics of me wearing them as well.
Style 1: The light wash, which I have been wearing the heck out of for spring and summer.

And here they are in action!
Style 2: Dark wash, which is a little more dressy. I personally feel these would work better for the fall.
Style 3: Here is a pair of medium wash with less distressing.
Style 3; Medium wash with distressing. These would be year-round for me. If you are trying to pick one pair from this style, I would go for this wash!

2. Torrid Flare Jeans
I am deeply in love with these jeans. They have a kickass boho vibe to them and a distinct 70’s feel without being over the top. I pair my jeans like this with cowboy boots. I think a chunky wedge or a flat sandal (as long as the jean was short enough) would work great as well.
3. Silver Jeans
I don’t have a great picture of these jeans, but I can tell you they are awesome. My friend Rachel gave me a pair and I would gladly spend money on these myself. The fit is great, quality is good. The waist has a shorter rise, which works for me. Again, because I am short, their ankle-length jeans work for me. Here are a few washes with the same basic style.

Here is another wash with a rip. This is the exact style that I have in a size 22.

4. RWN by Rawan Limited Edition Rodeo Destructed Skinny Jeans.
These jeans are from a brand new company, RWN by Rawan. In full disclosure, they sent these to me when they first opened. I tried two of their styles; one did not work for my body (mostly the cut and length was off for me but they did work well for someone else I know) and this second pair was a slam dunk. They have a lower rise and crop length. I also believe they run a bit small so, if you run between sizes or are very pear-shaped then you should order up a size. The have a crop-length ankle. Most of the pics I have shared of these jeans have been in IG stories; next time I grab one that isn’t I will share as well.

I’ll make sure to keep this page updated based on the new styles I try and love. Have fit questions for me? Chime in below and I will answer the best I can!
